The initial design goal for the Homestead Bed and Breakfast property was to renovate an existing building
originally built as a horse stable as part of the original farm. The new facility would provide additional
guest rooms as well as a guest community room to be used for entertainment and wedding venues. A structural
investigation revealed extensive termite infestation making the renovation cost prohibitive. A new building
was designed to provide the new uses in an architectural style mimicking the main farmhouse.
